Tavia Yeung on lingerie-shopping and men

The actress revealed that guys who are willing to go lingerie-shopping with her will stand a better chance at winning her heartTVB actress Tavia Yeung was in town last weekend as the ambassador for lingerie brand Sorella's range of B-Lifted bra and visited three shopping malls, interacting with fans who were there to support her.

This is Tavia's first time endorsing undergarments and it took her a year of negotiations with the client before both parties reached a consensus.

In an interview at NEX shopping mall, the actress revealed that she was initially hesitant about taking on this endorsement as she is a conservative person.

"For me, a bra is a kind of garment that I would just wear and enjoy it myself at home. If I were to buy any sexy lingerie, I will just hide it away after I'm done looking at it -- as I do not think that I have the courage to wear it."

The actress felt that their collaboration was "meant to be" since this marks the first time Sorella is appointing a spokesperson and her first time being a lingerie ambassador.

Tavia shared that most of her relatives and friends have the impression that she will be required to do revealing poses, but after seeing the ads, they unanimously agreed that it was beautifully shot, fashionable, and most importantly acceptable.

Instead of flaunting her assets by showing off the 'lifting effects' of the bra she just endorsed, Tavia kept it simple and covered-up in a one-piece button-down beige dress at her mall appearance. With a smile, the artiste explained that she does not need the help of a bra to feel confident about herself.

When asked how far will she go in terms of sexiness, Tavia expressed that her participation in lingerie ads is not to show the public how sexy she is, but in fact is to "instill the knowledge of how a good bra can bring about confidence to the ladies" and how "it will protect their body as well".

How much will she be willing to bare on TV then?

The actress shared that she will study how such scenes should be filmed and said she prefers it to be less showy. She will also take necessary precautionary measures to ensure that she does not compromise on her modesty.
She seriously added, "I'm not the kind of person who deliberately shows off her sexiness."

The 32-year-old shared with reporters that her mother accompanied her on her first "bra shopping" trip. Embarrassed and reluctant to flaunt her curves back then, the conservative girl preferred sports bra over the normal wired ones.

However, as she grew up, she realised the importance of proper undergarments. Apart from asking around for professional opinion, Tavia would also go bra-shopping with her friends.

On the topic of love, Tavia openly expressed that she has no hesitations bringing her boyfriend along on such shopping trips because "guys have a keen sense of taste".

"Guys can bring us more confidence. If it is worn well, he will praise you and it will help boost your self-confidence," she explained, and drove the crowd hysterical when she invited the men present on a lingerie-shopping trip.

According to her, men should not feel embarrass to accompany the ladies on such shopping trips.

She instructed, "Take note of your wives' lingerie because sometimes, it is worn for you in mind. If you see that your wives' undergarments are old and worn, it's time to buy her a set of new one."

Moving on to the topic of her endorsement fees, Tavia smiled and thanked the client, "I am satisfied with the remuneration. Hopefully there will be more collaboration opportunities in future.

According to the client, it is understood that Tavia received a six-figure sum for her ambassadorship.
